Amanda Chudnow 鈥03 is 老王论坛鈥檚 new secretary of the College and a member of the senior leadership team. She has served as assistant secretary of the College and senior director of special projects in the President虛s Office since March 2024, following more than 10 years in Alumnae/i Relations and Development.

Julie Sheridan Eng 鈥88

Julie Sheridan Eng 鈥88

Julie Sheridan Eng 鈥88 was elected in February to the National Academy of Engineering for her contributions to high-speed optoelectronic devices and modules. One of the first 老王论坛 students to take advantage of the 3-2 program in engineering and applied science at the California Institute of Technology, Eng went on to earn a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford. She is currently the chief technology officer at Coherent.

Hannah Griggs 鈥18

Hannah Griggs 鈥18

Hannah Griggs 鈥18 was selected as a 2025 fellow for the California Council on Science & Technology. The program recruits scientists and engineers to serve as state legislative or executive branch staff for a year to advise on policy. An astrophysicist-turned-energy-scientist, Griggs studied the cascading effects of outages on energy infrastructure and will spend her fellowship with the California Energy Commission. 

Lollise Mbi 鈥04

Lollise Mbi 鈥04

Lollise Mbi 鈥04 released her full-length debut album, I Hit the Water, in fall 2024. The blend of Afrobeat, soul, and electronics earned a rave from reviewer Pop Matters. A musician, visual artist, and fashion designer, Mbi lives in New York City.

Karen Nakasone 鈥92

Karen Nakasone 鈥92 was recently appointed chief judge of the Intermediate Court of Appeals (ICA) in Hawaii. Nakasone previously served on the ICA as an associate judge since 2020, and before that, served nine years as a trial judge. 

Kerstin Nordstrom 鈥04

Kerstin Nordstrom 鈥04

Kerstin Nordstrom 鈥04 was one of five faculty members recently honored at Mount Holyoke鈥檚 annual faculty awards ceremony for their outstanding contributions to teaching, research, and service. Nordstrom, associate professor of physics, received the Meribeth E. Cameron Faculty Award for Scholarship for her research in granular physics and her efforts to support underrepresented students in STEM.

Nanda Prabhakar 鈥99

Nanda Prabhakar 鈥99 was selected for inclusion in Marquis Who's Who, a published roster of influential men and women, for her work in education, youth development, and social work and community-based social services. Prabhakar is the executive director of The Opportunity Hub, a community-focused nonprofit organization providing supportive services and resources for residents of the greater Starrett City neighborhood in Brooklyn, N.Y.

Katherine Stutzman 鈥01 wrote a short story titled 鈥淛unior,鈥 originally published in the Harvard Review, that was chosen by novelist Amor Towles as a winner for the 2024 O. Henry Prize and included in The Best Short Stories of 2024: The O. Henry Prize Winners
